The Challenge Club is the name we give to the events that we run for the children through the year, where we visit interesting places and meet fascinating people.

From time to time we meet informally so that children and parents can get together to chat and share interests.

Sometimes we join in with events run by the two Christchurch based gifted and talented groups.

Here is a sample of some of the people and places we have visited:

•Ian Fanshawe, Marine Engineer and Surveyor of ships  shared his passion for building miniature steam locomotives from scratch.

•Annie Graham, Costumier for Theatre and Film, ran a mask making workshop.

•Steven Fowler welcomed us to his state of the art music production studio ‘Orchestrated Audio’

•Raymond Herber showed us around his metal work studio ‘Iron in the Fire’.

•Jacky Morren taught us about limestone carving.

•Kevin Williams took us through computer networking and webpage design using HTML.

•Rod Thompson organised a cartooning workshop.

•Sam Mahon talked to us about his life as an artist, author and environmentalist.
